Robots have become part of our lives and reality. What is often forgotten is that the idea of the robot is ancient, and has almost always been a part of various mythologies. Creating autonomous thinking beings has been a dream and goal in almost all cultures. The depicted robots are therefore all real existing machines.
The style of "classical painting" expresses European arrogance well; it is a means of expression of the Golden Age, the pride of colonial states. Therefore, this style is perfect for me to express human takeover of all living spaces. This is most impressively seen in robots that mimic the movements and characteristics of animals in order to serve humanity.
The images are a sentimental elegy to the beauty and power of nature, but also a critique of a human civilization that places itself above all life. Culture dominates nature.
